Tenders are invited for Data Management Training Using SQL/MySQL

The training will have two section:
Database Management system using SQL/MySQL - The Training, Database Management Systems, introduces the management of database systems. The training will emphasize the understanding of the fundamentals of relational systems including data models, database architectures, and database manipulations. It will also provide an understanding of new developments and trends such as Internet database environment, data warehousing, analytics and infographics. The training will be completed on one week, it will be supported with videos and various documents that will allow the team to learn in a very simple way how several types of information systems and databases are available to solve different problems and needs.

Specific objectives:
Database management:
How to install SQL, relational tables and their index, procedurals, basic query and sub-queries, joining, preparing reports
Understanding data manipulation languages, data query languages, view, stored procedures, functions, triggers and pivot table and statistical report
Understand how SQL works and summarize its basic operators.
Understand how MySQL works and its features and benefits
Implement relational databases using a RDBMS
Understand the basics of data management and administration
Understand the basics of data warehousing and its characteristics
Have perspective and practice by applying data management and analysis techniques in several settings.

Qualifications of the Consultant:
The consultant is expected to have the following qualifications:
Education Bachelor degree in relevant field (computer science, information technology, statistics, MIS). formal training on database management preferred.
Experience 3 - 5 years of professional experience with proven skills and expertise in database development and management.
The consultant should have the following skills:

Experience with MySQL/SQL, query design, execution and optimization especially building and managing large database applications and
Good knowledge on data management application such SQL/MySQL, ORCALE.
Excellent analytical skills and high level written and oral communications skills in English and Somali
