Tenders are invited for Data Preparation as Input for Real Time Simulation

General:
The Airspace Simulation unit of the EUROCONTROL Innovative Hub (EIH) in Brétigny will
support the implementation of the full Turkish Istanbul TMA airspace by conducting a RealTime Simulation (RTS). The aim of this RTS is to analyse and validate the operational
concept (airspace design, procedures and system support functions) required to enable
Triple Parallel operations and to validate their quality, operability and efficiency. The
planned time slot for conducting the simulation is between Q2 and Q3 2025 over 12 weeks.
Successful implementation should contribute to the efficiency performance targets for the
ANSP and European airspace in general.
Technical subject matter:
The Contract is intended to provide data preparation services for the Turkish Istanbul TRO
Phase 2 real-time simulation and subsequent, pending but as yet unconfirmed, other real
time simulations.
The Consultant will be responsible for preparing the operational data and support material
for the simulation: airspace, sectorisation, statistics on traffic, traffic samples, letters of
agreement, charts etc. This will take place in close coordination with the
EUROCONTROL operational expert of the Airspace Simulation section. The life
cycle of a simulation progresses from the initial data gathering and import into IPAS to
a series of technical and operational verification tests and finally to the conduct of the
simulation itself.
