The Municipality of Haskovo has been identified as a potential beneficiary under the project "Improving the quality of atmospheric air in the Municipality of Haskovo", financed under the "Environment 2021-2027" program.
The overall objective of the project is to improve the quality of the ambient air, by reducing thethe excessive levels of fine dust particles (FPC) in the territories of municipalities with impaired air quality according to this indicator from domestic heating.to lead to the achievement of compliance with the standards for PMFs, according to the requirements of Directive 2008/50/EC and the current national legislation, no later than 2024. The proposed measures to achieve the goal are related to the reduction of emissions of primary PMFs10 from the specified sources, with axisa new focus on solid fuel domestic heating. Replacing solid fuel stoves/boilers with alternative heating sources contributes to the reduction of harmful emissions and hence to the improvement of ambient air quality, which leads to a significant positive effect on human healthve.
The specific goal of the project is to replace heating devices in residential properties on the territory of Haskovo municipality, in which solid fuel is used with highly efficient heating devices and/or electricity systems.
