It describes the Service required of the Service Provider and makes reference to the role of other parties likely to be involved in the operation of the Service.The Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) are an amendment to the Mental Capacity Act 2005. The Safeguards are designed to protect individuals that are considered to lack capacity to make decisions around their place of residence for the purposes of receiving care and/or treatment.
