The National Research Council Canada (NRC), Ocean, Coastal, and River Engineering Research Centre has a requirement to develop maritime digital twin technology, as part of an on-going research project and multiple partnerships with private and academic organizations. This work will deliver validated, high-fidelity simulation of the marine environment, ships, and their performance in extreme environments. Furthermore, the digital twins will enable a wealth of new digital technologies to make ships and marine operations safer and more efficient.
