Tender Details

Specific Procurement Notice Invited for Design, Build and Operate of Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP), Headworks, Reservoirs, and Transmission mains in Khashuri.

Preparation of any/every plan, schedules, and reports, in particular (but not limited to): demolition schedule/plan, update of the Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) and Due Diligence Report (DDR), Site Waste Management Plan, Site Dust Management Plan, Site Surface Water Management Plan (if applicable), Site Excavated Material Management Plan, Site Biodiversity Management Plan, Traffic Management Plan, Health and Safety Management Plan, and Community Health and Safety plan.
Scope of works:
Refer to “Section VII - Scope of Employer's Requirements” for a more detailed description:

New wastewater treatment plant:
- Demolition of the existing old plant structure;
- Demolition of the old pumping station;
- Design, construction, and operation of the new 30, 000 - 40, 000 pe WWTP with biological treatment;
- Design, construction, and operation of a pilot constructed wetland & reed plant;
- Design and installation of a local SCADA;
- Connection to the public power grid;
- Design & construction of the bypass.

Headworks
- Design & construction of Tshramukha headworks, including one set of pumping test boreholes;
- Design & construction of Khtsisi headworks, including one set of pumping test boreholes;
- Reservoirs (demolition, design, rehabilitation, and/or construction);
- Design and construction of rising hands;
- Design and installation of local SCADA;

Others
- Design and construction of the new UWSCG administration building;
- Design and installation of the Khashuri central SCADA, with connections to Gori and Tbilisi;
- Training of the Employer's staff;
- Operation of the WWTP and, as an option, of the production facilities in addition.

Implementation Period

The overall contract implementation period shall be 60 months, including the following phases:
- Design, approvals & construction permits phase - the duration shall be 12 months;
- Construction and commissioning phase - the duration shall be 24 months;
-Operation and maintenance phase for the WWTP and possibly the water production facilities: the duration shall be 12 months (the duration may be modified in the bidding documents, up to 36 months);
-Defect Notification Period for the WWTP - the duration shall be 12 months after the expiration of the Operation and Maintenance period;
- Defect Notification Period - 24 months (except for the WWTP).
