Expression of Interest are invited for Development of Content and Design for E-Extension Services.

In 2017, the World Bank assisted the Government of Lao PDR in preparing the Agriculture Competitiveness Project (ACP) to enhance the competitiveness of rice, maize, and vegetable value chains. The project has four components: (A) Improved Agricultural Efficiency and Sustainability, (B) Enhanced Agricultural Competitiveness, (C) Project Management, and (D) Contingent Emergency Response. Under Component A, the project supports the adoption of improved varieties and high-quality seeds and application of good agriculture practices (GAP), provision of critical productive infrastructure, and strengthening of public services delivery. The project implementation started in May 2018 until June 2024 in five project provinces of Khammouane, Bolikhamxay, xayabouly, Vientiane Province, and Vientiane Capital. At the central level the project is managed and coordinated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF) via its Department of Planning and Finance (DoPF).

FUNDING SOURCE

The World Bank Group intends to finance the assignment / services described below under the following:

- Harnessing digital agriculture technologies for smallholder farmers in Lao PDR

The World Bank Group now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals). Please note that the total size of all attachments should be less than 5MB. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

NOTES
Following this invitation for Expression of Interest, a shortlist of qualified firms will be formally invited to submit proposals. Shortlisting and selection will be subject to the availability of funding.

Only those firms which have been shortlisted will receive notification. No debrief will be provided to firms which have not been shortlisted.
