This document represents an invitation to Bidders to submit their proposals to the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) to to develop a Publicly Available Specification (PAS) focused on the Planning and Design of Improved Connectivity in Sustainable Multimodal Urban Transportation Systems. This PAS will provide guidance on establishing and improving multi-modal urban transportation with a focus on sustainability, resiliency, and connectivity; by emphasizing how to effectively link different transportation modes and create redundancy in case one of the modes is disrupted. Efficient planning and design of the urban mobility infrastructure can support both adaptation and mitigation objectives while promoting sustainability behaviours. This PAS will not cover the design or engineering of individual transportation systems (e.g., light-rail train systems, roads, etc.).
