Expression of Interest are invited for Development of Training Guidelines and Provide Training of Trainers for IGAD Staffs
The Main Objectives of the Assignment:
The key commitments of IGAD Gender Department for 2023 to start engaging with different IGAD divisions to strengthen their capacity on promoting gender mainstreaming. Towards this end, the Gender Department staff have been engaging experts, and Gender Focal Points to ensure that gender is taken as a priority in different program interventions.
The consultant/firm will be responsible, under the direct supervision of IGAD Gender Manager will undertake the following:
1. Develop a Training Guideline and provide a comprehensive Training of Trainers (TOT) on Gender and Disability Responsive Finance, Human Resource Administration and Program Management for staffs and equip them with required skills to undertake gender and disability responsive interventions as well as cascade the TOT to other IGAD staffs.
The Key Deliverables
The following deliverables are expected from the consultant:
The Consultancy Firm will provide the following deliverables.
1. Clear and comprehensive inception report outlining the contents of the guideline and methodology of guideline and training methodologies.
2. A draft comprehensive Training of Trainers Guideline on Gender and Disability Responsive, Finance, Human Resource Administration and Program Management
3. Incorporate feedback from IGAD staffs.
4. Final TOT guideline on Gender and Disability Responsive, Finance, Human Resource Administration and Program Management
5. TOT on gender and disability sensitive budgeting and tracking for program, finance, administration, and accounts staff.
6. Comprehensive training report
The duration of the assignment:
The assignment is for a total of 3 months (90 working day) starting from the date of signing a contract with IGAD.
The Required Qualifications:
· The Specialist/Expert must have a master-s degree in social science or other relevant fields from a reputed public university with at least 10 years of relevant experiences in social and gender development, preferably in development programs and understand the policies and strategies in relation to gender.
· Excellent presentation skills with written and oral communication are desired.
