The Medical Microbiology Department (AMM) at Møre and Romsdal Hospital Trust has designed and plans the operation of a sequencing laboratory at Nordmøre and Romsdal Hospital, which is scheduled to open in spring 2025. The goal is to strengthen diagnostics, improve monitoring of antibiotics resistance, improve the possibilities for an outbreak solution, and to give a research tool for the entire Møre and Romsdal health region. Infrastructure and competence within sequencing is essential in order to carry out relevant research and development within microbiology. As sequencing technology continues to develop, we invite suppliers of sequencing equipment to present their newest systems in line with our planned use.
