Description
SCOPE OF WORKFurnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to perform all work associated with the yearly requirement of filtration / decontamination and testing of all 28 diesel fuel storage tanks located at the VA Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System, Biloxi, Mississippi. The work required is listed as follows:Contractor shall perform the necessary decontamination, water removal and filtration of all Biloxi VA Medical Center diesel fuel storage tanks for diesel generators and standalone tanks listed herein for reference. The period of performance for this service contract will be for one year and for 4 consecutive years thereafter, beginning in the third quarter of FY 25. The successful contractor awarded this service contract shall submit a report within 2 weeks after the service to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for the inspection, sampling, and testing of each diesel fuel storage vessel that documents the fuel purity and other specific characteristics of the fuel such as: tank I.D., tank size, gallons, water before, water after, before value, after value, categories, grade, and comments. The yearly report for each tank containing the above specified information shall be sent to the COR via electronic mail as an Adobe Reader attachment.Contractor to provide before and after samples (color photographs are acceptable) of fuel straight from the tank for ASTM Bright & Clear Test. Treat fuel with appropriate fuel treatment.Mechanically remove water, microbiological growth, and sludge contamination from diesel storage tanks by repeatedly dragging a flexible suction wand across the entire bottom of tank. Run fuel through a closed loop filter circulating system consisting of a 5-micron filter, oil and water separation through a coalescing unit and two water absorption filters, then return fuel to the tank under pressure.
