Detailed_Description : Currently, vision screening devices are used by the Ministry of Transportation-s Regional Operations Branch, ServiceOntario service centres and Driver Certification Program (DCP) participants to conduct mandatory vision tests to ensure that the mandatory vision requirements as set out under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) are met by all applicants.The vision screeners are required for select driver-s licence services such as new Ontario drivers, drivers exchanging licences from another jurisdiction, and during renewals for commercial driver-s licences (e.g., truck drivers, bus drivers, ambulance drivers).
Scope of Work : The Ministry requires the Vendor to provide up to four hundred twenty-five (425) portable vision screening devices to conduct vision tests that meet the requirements outlined in the RFB. The ministry requires the Vendor to provide an option to purchase more devices at the same rate outlined in approved bid during the duration of the 2-year contract.The vendor shall deliver up to four hundred twenty-five (425) vision screening devices to up to two hundred seventy-five (275) locations specified by the Ministry, across the province of Ontario. The list of locations are available in the RFB. This is a tentative schedule and will be confirmed in the final agreement. Delivery of the initial order of equipment, 425 vision screeners, can be split into multiple shipments. First shipment of at least 115 vision screeners, target delivery date is January 6, 2025, and the second shipment of 165 vision screeners by February 24, 2025, to approximately 275 locations across Ontario. The delivery schedule of the remaining 145 vision screeners will be finalized prior to entering into the Agreement.When repair is necessary, Ministry is able to contact vendor to request response and timely resolution.
