Island Health has issued this Request for Proposals for the purpose of inviting proposals from mechanical consultant firms to undertake services and construction as outlined in this RFP for the Project.
The Drugs and Alcohol Rehab Society (DARS) Building, located at 1125 and 1123 Pembroke, Victoria, BC, consists of two interconnected facilities:
Detox Centre: Constructed in 1987, this facility includes offices, dormitories, and single rooms operating in a 24/7 occupied mode, with usage patterns varying based on demand.Sobering Centre: A two-story building originally built in the 1960s and rebuilt in 2003. The first floor includes offices and a group meeting room, while the second floor houses a gym and classrooms.The existing mechanical systems serving these buildings require upgrades to improve energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, user comfort and enhance overall building performance.
