Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation Nr 52000PRQ0020841 for a commercial items prepared in accordance with the format outlined in FAR Subpart 12.6, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 336611. All responsible business sources may submit proposals that will be considered. This synopsis/ solicitation is issued pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b), and the resultant purchase order will be awarded on a firm-fixed price basis using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR 13.

REQUIREMENTS

The contractor shall provide the services of a qualified Technical Representative to accomplish the following services throughout the duration of the weight test.



Provide two water weights bags that can be load tested to 8, 250 lb (+/- 25 lb). Assemble water weight bag on the pier. Luff davit all the way out. Connect dynamometer to boat davit hook. Dynometer cert. must be current. Fill the water weight bags until test load of 8, 250 lb (+/- 25 lb) is achieved on each davit hook. Hold test load for 10 minutes without significant slippage. Drain water weight bags if there is slippage over 1/2 inch. Drain water completely from water weight bags.

NOTE: Both water weight bags need to be filled evenly at the same time.

NOTE: There should be no appreciable slippage. Travel exceeding 1/2 inch is unsatisfactory.
