1. Introduction As part of daa-s commitment to developing sustainable energy solutions for our business, and enhancing electricity resilience and reliability at Dublin Airport, we are planning for the delivery of an ambitious programme of sustainable energy and sustainability improvement projects over the next number of years. These projects will support daa-s Carbon Reduction goals and will also ensure a robust and reliable energy supply for airport operations into the future. 2.Objectives To deploy the following major projects: A. Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems Build upon the success of the 9 MWp PV 'Phase 1' solar farm that became operational in October 2024 via additional large scale solar PV farms and discrete PV installations at various locations across the Dublin Airport campus. B. Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Up to 20 MWh initial BESS installations in specific (TBD) locations, equating to approximately 2 hours electrical supply for the entire Airport Campus. C. 2nd HV/MV Connection Point New 110 kV High Voltage (HV) / Medium Voltage (MV) substation that will function as a second connection point from the ESB network. D. MV Resilience & Redundancy Assessment Intrusive and non-intrusive condition survey of existing MV systems and components, including substations, transformers, switchgear, cables and SCADA.
