Dunedin City Council DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL. REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR THE LEASE OF THE WAIKOUAITI CAMPING GROUND LOCATED AT 186 BEACH STREET, WAIKOUAITI ON RECREATION RESERVE BEING PART OF WAIKOUAITI DOMAIN. Description: The Dunedin City Council (‘the Council-) gives notice of a Request for Proposal seeking Proposals from experienced campground operators with the necessary experience and resources to manage the operations and activities of Waikouaiti Camping Ground (‘the Camp-) efficiently and effectively on a long-term lease basis. The Camp is ideally located near to Waikouaiti township, beach and sportsgrounds and just a 35-minute drive north of Dunedin on SH 1. The Council invites proposals that can show the necessary vision, energy, experience and resources to manage and develop the Camp to grow its potential. For the successful respondent, the opportunity exists to secure a long-term lease (pursuant to Section 54 of the Reserves Act 1977), acquire ownership of the existing built improvements and the ability to implement an approved development plan for the Camp.
