With this tender, the client is carrying out an evaluation of new battery trolleybuses in order to replace an older generation of trolleybuses and diesel buses. Both solo buses and articulated buses are taken into account. In the first phase, existing buses dto be replaced by 18 new solo (4) and articulated (14) battery trolleybuses. There is also the option to purchase additional buses for potential delivery by 2031; solo buses, articulated and double-articulated buses can be purchased. These would be intended for the remaining diesel busesin the fleet of the Biel public transport company.
