The tasks in the development, planning, design and operation of repositories are very complex due to the wide variety of framework conditions. A technical center is under construction to test digitization concepts for mining and repository technology in the BGE.
The technical center offersspace to work together in project consortia. As a result, development projects can be processed more efficiently and at the same time a higher degree of maturity of the technical solutions can be achieved before they are transferred to the companies.
For the development and testing of digitization projects like thisll enable the technical center to display "state of the art" visualization themes. For this reason, technical equipment in the form of a "Cave Automatic Virtual Environment" (CAVE) is to be implemented in the existing technical center. The visualization technique is intended to facilitate the development ofProblems, training of employees, assessment of constructions and discussion rounds in a virtual reality in small groups.
Since the public relations work of the BGE has a high priority, the CAVE should also be used for hybrid 2D events with a larger persun group can be used. To increase synergy effects, the integration of a video conference environment and hybrid event technology in the CAVE is therefore being pursued.
