This is a notice for the purposes of market sounding in relation to a potential upcoming procurement. It is anticipated that the scope works to be delivered under the Project will be split into two work packages : a) Work Package 1 - Multiple sites. NOT THE SUBJECT OF THIS MARKET SOUNDING. The overarching project will provide facilities and civil works at the Fire Training Apron, RAAF Base Amberley. This project will provide all services and works required to support the installation and commissioning of Work Package 2. b) Work Package 2 - RAAF Base Amberley (QLD). THE SUBJECT OF THIS MARKET SOUNDING. Design, fabrication and installation of an Aircraft Fuselage Fire Training Aid (AFFTA). At the time of this notice, the Commonwealth anticipates that the Works will include design and construction services in respect of the following works at RAAF Base Amberley, QLD : 1. Design, fabrication and installation of an Aircraft Fuselage Fire Training Aid (AFFTA) that complies with Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Category 8. The AFFTA will be a partial construction, not full size, with specific requirements for cabin, engine, and cockpit fire training scenarios. If affordable the Project will also design, fabricate and install a partial F35 AFFTA. 2. Compliance with Australian Standards AS3814 and AS5601. 3.
