The Bavarian State Institute for Agriculture (LfL) commissions the examination of samples (plant material, soil, treatment liquid, seeds) for pesticide residues. The samples to be examined are taken as part of plant protection application controls.
By the contractor wird sample acceptance, sample storage, sample preparation and independent examination using suitable analysis methods are expected. The test results must be submitted to the LfL in the form of a test report. Approximately 460 samples are examined for pesticide residuesen plant protection application controls per year. The number of samples to be examined is specified in the annual application control plan. The number can fluctuate slightly from year to year, as regular checks in particular cannot be planned.
