Request for proposals are invited for External Audit Services- ERASMUS Project
Qualifications:
• Professional Membership:
The Auditor should be a member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC). Whether an IFAC
member or not, the Auditor commits himself to undertake this engagement in accordance with applicable
International Standards of Auditing (ISA) and ethics. National Auditing Standards that comply with ISAs in all
material respects will also be accepted. The team of proposed auditors should be qualified and experienced in
the audit of donor funded projects (CV should be part of the proposal).
Individuals of foreign Service Providers carrying out consultancy service and working in Lebanon need to provide a copy of work and residency permits for non-Lebanese.
AUB shall have the right at all times to appoint any other person(s) or company(ies) to carry out the same services offered by the Service Provider.
AUB is a tobacco free university; as such Tobacco companies and/or their subsidiaries are not allowed to participate in this Request for Proposal. Contractors and/or Service Providers should ensure that their workers and staff comply with AUB-s non-smoking policy while on site.
Role and Responsibilities
Audit Planning:
Review the ERASMUS project-s financial records, transactions, and relevant documentation.
Develop an audit plan that adheres to the specific guidelines and policies outlined by
ERASMUS.
Establish a timeline and schedule for the audit process, including key milestones and deadlines.
Compliance Review:
Ensure that all project expenditures, financial activities, and reporting are in compliance with
ERASMUS regulations.
Identify and address any discrepancies or areas of non-compliance during the audit process.
Detailed Analysis:
Conduct a thorough examination of all financial statements, funding allocations, and expense
reports related to the ERASMUS project.
Verify that funds have been utilized appropriately and in alignment with the project objectives.
Reporting:
Prepare a comprehensive audit report that details findings, observations, and any
recommendations for improvements.
Present the final audit report to AUB, ensuring that it meets all ERASMUS audit standards and
requirements.
Provide a summary of any issues identified and propose corrective actions if necessary.
Communication and Collaboration:
Maintain regular communication with AUB's project team to provide updates on the audit-s
progress.
Collaborate with relevant departments to gather necessary documentation and clarify any issues
during the audit.
