COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION

Procurement of an External cavity diode laser.

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 - Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a separate written solicitation document will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued under the authority of FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures.

This solicitation is a Request for Quotations (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2024-03 effective February 23rd, 2024.

The NIST Material Measurement Laboratory-s Chemical Sciences Division Gas Sensing Metrology group has multiple ongoing projects that involve high resolution laser spectroscopy of atmospheric gases, such as water, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and methane. The group typically employs cavity ringdown spectroscopy and photoacoustic spectroscopy in order to produce high quality spectral data products. In order to advance the measurement goals of the group, a high resolution, continuously and widely tunable laser source in the 1.572 μm wavelength region is required.

Responsible quoters shall provide pricing for the following Line Items:

Line Item 0001: One (1) External cavity diode laser in accordance with the specifications in the attached requirements document.
