The Ontario International Airport Authority (OIAA) is inviting proposals from experienced Federal Affairs Lobbyists to advocate for its interests at the federal level. The selected firm will represent Ontario International Airport (ONT) before key federal entities, including the Office of the Presidency, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Transportation, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the Legislative Branch. The firm must have a robust presence in Washington D.C., strong relationships with policymakers, and a proven track record in aviation sector advocacy. Responsibilities include developing annual legislative strategies, securing funding and support, and coordinating regular meetings with ONT-s Executive and Government Affairs staff to align on legislative priorities.Key tasks for the firm include providing timely updates on relevant legislation, facilitating meetings with California Congressional delegation members, and organizing an annual lobbying day in Washington D.C. The firm will also assist ONT in identifying and securing federal grants, supporting grant applications, and preparing legislative strategies and advocacy documents. Additionally, the firm will ensure regular communication through written reports and calls, keeping ONT informed of all pertinent legislative and regulatory changes. Proposers must demonstrate at least five years of relevant experience, including representing special interests before federal bodies, cultivating relationships with elected officials, and developing effective legislative strategies.
