The intent of this proposal is to acquire a filtration system that can be used in our pilot fermentation facility at scales ranging from 20-200L. We are looking for a system that can be multifunctional allowing for use with different process goals. Some processes that this may be used for include separation of biomass post fermentation, clarification of fermentation broth or lysate post centrifugation, purification and concentration of products such as target proteins. This system or systems should therefore be capable of completing microfiltration, ultrafiltration, and nanofiltration (reverse osmosis as optional).
