PURPOSE OF THE EVALUATION
The purpose of this evaluation is to contribute to,
1. Enhancing Development Learning: Focused on enriching GGGI-s internal knowledge base, particularly within climate resilience and inclusive green growth within the agricultural sector, this objective emphasizes the importance of nurturing an organizational culture geared towards innovation and continuous improvement. It aims at evaluating efforts to promote sustainable practices in the agriculture sector of the Philippines, aligning with GGGI and KOICA-s shared dedication to green growth and sustainable development.
2. Strengthening Accountability: This goal underscores the significance of demonstrating the effectiveness of GGGI Projects funded by KOICA and other partners to beneficiaries, ensuring that recommendations from previous evaluations are effectively implemented. It underlines the necessity for transparent and effective communication with all stakeholders, the meticulous establishment of Project frameworks, and the implementation of robust Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) strategies. Accountability also involves showing the judicious use of resources and the tangible impacts on KOICA and other funding agencies.
3. Informing the Design of Phase 2 of the Project: This objective leverages the valuable learnings and evidence gathered from current and past Projects to shape the forthcoming phase of the GGGI and KOICA collaboration, especially for Phase 2 of the Project. It focuses on driving the green transformation within the Philippines- agricultural sector, with an expanded view towards implementing sustainable practices in green industry Projects across GGGI member and partner countries. This forward-looking approach is crucial for amplifying the scalability and sustainability of future endeavors, significantly boosting the combined impact of GGGI and KOICA-s initiatives in advancing global sustainable development goals.
