This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The Government will not pay for any information solicited. The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6, on behalf of the Durham VA Medical Center, is conducting market research to determine whether to set-aside an acquisition to establish a contract that will provide First Receiver Patient Decontamination Program (FRDP) hazardous materials incident training, response, and equipment maintenance services, to include Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) donning and doffing training for designated Durham VAMC staff.The Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) seeks a contractor to provide a full response team of a maximum of 30 technicians with FRDP operations level certification to respond to all Durham VAMC patient decontamination needs and hazardous materials spill incidents utilizing Durham VAMC furnished equipment and supplies. Team must be able to respond seven days (7) per week, twenty-four (24) hours per day /365 days a year to the Durham within 15 minutes. The contractor shall also provide the following services: Monthly training at contract work site for contractor work crew to include selected Durham VAMC emergency response staff on the following competencies: First Receiver Decontamination Program Operations Level Training Donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment Hazardous spill containment Infectious Disease Personal Protective Equipment Donning and Doffing training for up to 45 Durham VAMC patient care and ancillary staff Monthly Inventory and equipment inspection and maintenance services for Durham VAMC provided patient decontamination and personal protective equipment.
