Description

The purpose of this project is to purchase a forestry dozer for the Hiawatha National Forest, located in Rapid River, MI.

Offerors are requested to provide a quote for the equipment listed below, the vendor is responsible for submitting enough supporting information/documentation to illustrate their capability to meet or exceed the following Salient Characteristics.

Salient Characteristics:• Engine: diesel, 130hp net minimum• Maximum height: 132 inches• Weight (with blade, without rear attachments): 32, 000 to 36, 000 lbs• Minimum ground clearance: 14.5 inches• Heavy duty, impact resistant bellypan, designed to withstand regular impact from stumps and other debris• Track: Oscillating (non-fixed), sealed and lubed, with 24 to 26” shoes• Blade: 120 to 126 inches wide, 6 way hydraulic adjustment• ---Dozer will be outfitted with a removeable scarification rake/salmon blade in the future• Reversing radiator fan• ROPS, heat, and A/C• 2 or more egress points• Polycarbonate (such as Lexan) windows on cab suited for forestry use• Air suspension seat with heating and cooling• Rearview camera• Satellite link connection for remote diagnostics• Cold weather package• Rear winch• Exhaust shall be mounted so as not to interfere with operator-s forward vision. Upright through-hood exhaust is not acceptable• Limb risers/sweeps• Tilit-up cab to allow for maintenance and clean-out• AM/FM radio with Bluetooth• Electrical system: if machine is not a 12 volt setup, a 12 volt power supply/convertor with minimum 20 amps shall be installed to provide for the future install of an agency two way radio in the cab• LED lighting mounted near top of canopy to illuminate the front and rear of work area• Minimum 12 month warranty with mobile service available to Rapid River MI
