As Part of the Gender Innovation and Regional Learning (Girl) Initiative that Complements the Sahel Women Empowerment and Demographic Dividend (Swedd) Project; The World Bank-S Africa Region Gender Innovation Lab (Gil) Team is Supporting the Swedd Team; Government Counterparts; And Technical Partners in Designing and Testing a Pilot Intervention that Provides an Empowerment Program to Agyw in Safe Spaces (Ss) Located in Community Health Centers (Cscoms) with Midwives as Mentors. The Intervention will be Targeted at Vulnerable Girls and Young Women; Married and Unmarried; 15-19 Years of Age; And has the Goal of Empowering Agyw and to Improve Their Srh Outcomes. The Gil Plans to Conduct an Impact Evaluation of this Intervention to Provide Rigorous Evidence on its Impact on Agyw and Midwives Acting as Mentors. The Results of the Rct will Inform the Second Phase of Swedd Mali and Other Countries. The Wb Team is Seeking to Contract a Survey Firm to Conduct: (I) a Listing of Eligible Agyw in the 113 Localities Where the Cscoms are Located; And (Ii) Face-to-Face Surveys of Agyw and of Midwives Facilitating the Sessions of the Ss. The Listing will Consist of a 15 to 30 Minutes Household Survey to Identify Eligible Agyw in the Localities. A Randomly Selected Subset of the Eligible Agyw will then be Invited to Participate in the Baseline Survey Which should Take Approximately 30 to 45 Minutes. The Midwife Survey will Last Approximately 30 Minutes and will be Held at the Cscom to Collect Gps Data on the Cscom Location and Information about its Accessibility. All Surveys will be Done Using Standard Capi Data Collection Platforms. The Data Collection will Take Place between April and may 2024.
