The purpose of the procurement is to sign a framework agreement with suppliers that can cover SGU's need for procurement consultants, especially during production peaks and temporary vacancies. Currently, we have no control over the total volume that SGU trades for each year. The purchasing need can be found partly inthe "producing" business partly within the departments that have a supporting function to the business. The SGU has five departments as listed below and deals with the issues briefly described below: Mineral Resources - collects, interprets, compiles and provides knowledge and information for and about minesalnaeringen in Sweden, and carries out externally financed assignments. The department consists of three units; economic geology, geophysics, mineral information and mining as well as a strategist, R&D strategist, who is organizationally placed directly under the head of department. Community planning - collects, interprets, collatescollects and provides knowledge and information used in community planning and carries out externally funded assignments. The department consists of four units; community planning mountain, community planning soil, community planning marine environment, marine operation and technology. Land and groundwater - works for milesthe lake quality goals Groundwater of good quality and Non-toxic environment. The department collects, interprets, compiles and provides knowledge and information about groundwater based on the needs of county administrations, municipalities and other users.
