Abstract: The Council will be seeking a contractor to provide Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems that will extract the exhaust emissions from within the Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS) fire stations / vehicle buildings emitted by the vehicles & other fuelled equipment (typically diesel fire appliances) to control exposure to individuals (and equipment/PPE) from the harmful effects of exhaust emissions. The vehicles are started and run in a 'closed environment', with adjoining rooms, offices, and equipment is stored in the area with potential for contamination from particulates and emissions. This extraction should meet the expectations regarding LEV within HSG187The equipment provided shall be compliant with PUWER 1998, and the requirements of HSG258 - the supplier will:• Survey, design & build systems in accordance with HSG258, consideration of outlets and effects on neighbouring properties / site activities.• require indicators to be fitted to show that the system is work...
