Funded by the Korean Green Growth Trust Fund (Kggtf); The World Bank-S Activity on ‘Greening the Maritime Transport Sector in Indonesia to Promote an Environmentally- and Climate-Sound Development- Aims to Support the Ministry of Transport in Indonesia to Ensuring a Balance between Economic Growth and Ecological Sustainability within Maritime Transport Sector. The Maritime Transport Sector Plays a Pivotal Role in Indonesia's Economic Development; Facilitating Trade; Connectivity; And Providing Crucial Support to Various Industries. However; The Sector's Growth has Raised Environmental and Climate Concerns; Necessitating Strategic Interventions to Align Maritime Activities with Sustainable Practices. Outputs from this Activity will Provide a National-Level Roadmap to Transition to Low-/Zero-Carbon; Diagnostics on the Challenges and Opportunities of Adoption of Climate Mitigation Actions Using Alternative Fuels; Renewable Energy; More Efficient Ship Design and System. This Terms of Reference (Tor) is Developed to Mobilize a Consulting Firm to Implement the Study to Provide a Roadmap to the Ministry of Transportation in Indonesia to Facilitate Green Energy Transition in the Seaports and Shipping Sector. The Study Needs to Review the Current Scenario and Provide a Future Roadmap for Green Maritime Transport Practices Employed by the Port Community Stakeholders in Indonesia. Furthermore; The Study should Assess the Gaps; Challenges; And Opportunities in Greening the Sector in Port; And Required Design and Specification of Efficient Vessels including Roll-on Roll-off (Roro) Vessels that are Critical to Provide Interisland Services across the Indonesian Archipelago.
