Description : The Weeneebayko Area Health Authority (WAHA), in conjunction with the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care and the Federal Indigenous Services Canada, is undertaking a bold new redevelopment project to replace the aging hospital on Moose Factory Island with a new facility. This Request for Qualifications will allow WAHA to review the experience and abilities of interested General Contractors in an effort to create a “short list” of approved bidders eligible to participate in a planned second-stage RFP for this Early Works project. The scope of work for this enabling project for Staff Housing (15 Duplex 4 bedroom homes) includes the following: Grubbing and grading of the housing site Construction of new roadways Expansion of existing water and sanitary services to the 30 new homes Installation of new electrical and street lighting services Concrete foundations and crawl space construction for 15 duplexes Purchase delivery and installation of modular homes from pre-qualified vendors Connection of all services to homes Purchase, delivery and installation of certain furniture and appliances (cash allowance) Purchase and installation of covered front porches and rear decks
