Description

This synopsis is hereby amended to answer questions raised by a potential quoter. The due date for quotation is hereby extended.

Questions:

Are you using a bar to weld your mylar?

Why use a platen if all you need is a bar?

Do you know how many kw's of power you require?

When you say "must fit in" does that mean the bar must fit into that size or the actual machine's footprint is that size?”

Answers:

NIST is not exactly sure what the Contractor is asking with the first two questions. The current broken heat sealer has jaws with heated bars which close onto the mylar bag when pushed with a foot pedal.

For the third question, kilowatts as a specification for the heat sealers were not a requirement, only the fact that a seal could be made.

Finally, for the last question, the machine-s footprint should be that size.

No additional changes have been made.
