The Hermes Hermes Humanities Education in Research, Data and Methods is borne by nine scientific institutions and deals with data competence in the digital humanities. The Hermes research study program enables the promotion of studies on the practical application and strengthening of the required skills in dealing with digital cultural data. As part of Hermes, the German National Library supports up to four studies on its databases every year in order to better assess the research potential of the data and the requirements of research on the inventory.
For 2025, two databases are made available with the total stock of bibliographical data and the Twitter archive.
The aim of the studies is to use innovative questions and methods to the databases of the German National Library. The method is not specified.
