The project site is located on the north shore of Black Bay, approximately 85 km northeast of Thunder Bay. The wharf is located at the end sound of Hurkett Dock Road. The site coordinates are: 48°50'24.5"N 88°29'16.7"W. The work under this contract includes the full demolition of the timber pile wharf (approximately 28m x 4.9m). The work includes, but is not limited to: 1. Removal and disposal of all chain link fencing and signage, one flag pole, timber decking, stringers, fenders, pile caps and piles (by extraction), as well as all associated metal fasteners; and 2. Supply and installation of armour stone (approximately 30 - 50 tonnes). It is anticipated the Contractor can perform and complete the Work in approximately 2-3 weeks. All Work is to be completed by December 20, 2024.
