The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center, San Diego - Seal Beach detachment (FLCSD) is conducting a market survey to determine the interest and capability of Industry to participate in a competitive acquisition for the for hydro pneumatic submarine fenders and replacement chains as follows:
Quantity 4 (Four EA), 4.5 x 9.0m Hydro Pneumatic Submarine Fenders Quantity 3 (Three EA) 3.3 x 10.6m Hydro Pneumatic Submarine Fenders Quantity 1 (One EA) Fender accessory kit 2 x counterweights to suit 4.5 x 9.0 fenders, 2 x counterweights to suit 3.3 x 10.6 fenders, 56 x 17 ton safety bow shackles, 14 x 12 ton safety bow shackles, 7 x 20 meter lengths (140m) of 32mm, galvanized open link chain, 7 x 38mm 3 links, 14 x 8” x 6 meter Layflat hose.Fenders are required to be original Yokohama brand or equal and must fully comply with ISO 17357-1:2014. Delivery for use shall be Naval Base Point Loma, San Diego, CA.
Commander, Navy Region Southwest (CNRSW) Port Operations is a service-oriented Program that directly contributes to the current and future readiness of the Fleet. Port Operation-s job is to help provide “Installations Ready to Support Taskings” and thereby enhance readiness of the Fleet through Berthing and Hotel Services, Port Logistics, Port Operations Center, Tug and Small Craft Services, Magnetic Silencing Facility, Oil Spill Response and Recovery
In order to maintain consistent, reliable shore support, CNRSW requires the replacement of its berthing equipment as required due to regular use and ecological wear.
FLCSD anticipates awarding a single Firm Fixed Price contract for these commercial supplies.
