The Government of Liberia through the Ministry of Agriculture has received grant from the Global Agriculture Food Security Program (GAFSP) of the World Bank Group and the African Development Fund (ADF) of the African Development Bank (AfDB) for Agriculture in Liberia. This grant will be used to finance activities of the Smallholder Agriculture Development for Food and Nutrition Security (SADFONS) Project. The project intends to apply part of the proceeds toward the Construction/Rehabilitation and stabilization of irrigation infrastructure for integrated Rice and Fish cultivation in lowland areas across three (3) counties (River Gee, Maryland and Grand Gedeh) in Liberia.
