Sources Sought Notice
RAMAN IMAGING SPECTROGRAPH AND CAMERA
Sources Sought #1121941-SS
This is a Sources Sought notice Only. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. This Sources Sought is issued for information and planning purposes only as part of USDA ARS market research and does not itself constitute an RFQ.
Background:
The ARS Environmental Microbial and Food Safety Laboratory (EMFSL) in Beltsville, Maryland plans to purchase an imaging spectrograph and a highly sensitive camera to develop a new compact macro-scale line-scan Raman chemical imaging system for food safety research. Since the spectrograph and the camera will need to work with a recently purchased 808 nm high-power diode line laser to form the whole measurement system, these two hardware components must work and optimize at 808 nm excitation to ensure high-quality Raman scattering signals to inspect food and agricultural products.
Requirements:
The Raman imaging spectrograph and camera must be capable of the following:
Spectrograph laser excitation wavelength: 808 nm Spectrograph wavenumber range: 200 to 2800 cm-1 Spectrograph spatial channels: = 1024 Spectrograph spectral resolution: Spectrograph field of view: = 250 mm at 400 mm working distance Spectrograph size: Spectrograph weight: Camera quantum efficiency: = 75% at 900 nm and =30% at 1000 nm Camera active pixels: = 1024×1024 Camera frame rate: = 4 fps at full frame Camera digitization: = 16-bit Camera linearity: = 99% Camera air cooled temperature: Camera lens mount: C-mount Camera interface: USB Camera software development kit (SDK) support: LabVIEW
The Contractor shall:
This Sources Sought is only for the purpose of identifying potential sources as part of USDA ARS market research. The Government does not intend to make an award based on responses to this inquiry. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the ...
