A. BACKGROUND:

B. PURPOSE OF THE CONSULTANCY
FHI360 is seeking to engage individual consultants. The individual will support in development, implementation of safety & security strategy for ongoing projects in Anambra, Enugu, Delta, Ekiti, and Osun States. S/He will be required to produce security assessment reports and recommend strategies that will support the security of staff, assets, program continuity and the reputation of FHI360. The Consultant will discharge his assignment under the direct authority and technical guidance of the FHI 360 Security Director (SD) Nigeria. The security consultant will be equipped with appropriate tools to generate documents and advisories that bolster the project teams- operations within high-risk environments. The ideal security consultant should possess a minimum of 7-10 years of hands-on experience in security management. Key expertise should encompass conducting security risk assessments, devising strategies to mitigate security risks, and managing incidents and crises, including the creation of contingency plans such as emergency action plans. Additionally, the security consultant should have a well- established network within key security circles, enabling them to facilitate access that the team can leverage post- consultancy. Experience working with government security forces is highly desirable.
