Tender Details
Smalland medium enterprises (SMEs) play a pivotal role in the Indonesian economy, constituting a significant portion of the business landscape and workforce. In2019, over 64 million SMEs were operational in Indonesia, accounting for 99.99%of the total business population and employing 96.9% of the workforce. These enterprises contribute substantially to the national GDP, accounting for60.5% of it. However, despite their economic significance, SMEs areparticularly vulnerable to the impacts of natural hazards. Byintegrating disaster risk financing (DRF) measures, SMEs can enhance theirfinancial resilience to absorb losses resulting from disasters and ensurebusiness continuity. DRF mechanisms facilitate access to capital duringpost-disaster recovery, enabling SMEs to restore operations swiftly andmitigate long-term financial strain.
