Description

NASA/KSC has a requirement for an Integrated High-Vacuum Atomic Force Microscopy System with an added thermal control stage. The system is intended to measure the adhesion forces of individual dust particles in a simulated lunar environment..

NASA/(KSC) intends to issue a sole source contract to acquire the Integrated High-Vacuum Atomic Force Microscopy System from Park Systems under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. the only vendor identified through extensive market research and literature review that has the capability to deliver an integrated high-vacuum AFM system that meets the Government-s requirements.

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Kodi Coles atemail: kodi.d.coles@nasa., gov not later than 12:00PM Eastern Standard Time on August 22, 2024. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
