Description

Intent to Sole Source:

The MCIEast Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533, hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to Automated Precision Inc., (CAGE 0KED7) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements.



The Fleet Readiness Center, FRC East (MCAS) Cherry Point, NC has a requirement to establish a contract for Factory Calibration and Certification of Radian Laser Tracker Systems and i360 Intelliprobes for a base period of one (1) year with provisions for four (4) one-year options. Market research has revealed that Automated Precision Inc., the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), is the only source capable of providing the propriety software, technical support and maintenance specifications necessary for the calibration and software maintenance. Therefore, the government intends to procure these services on a sole source basis to Automated Precision Inc.



THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within five (5) calendar days after the date of the publication of this notice will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
