Description
This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement action for Russ Bassett Slatwall Consoles, and is not a request for competitive proposals.
All inquiries recieved will be evaluated; howeve, a determination by the governement not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is soley within the discrestion of the Governemnet. Information recived will be considered solely for the purpose of determeing whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
The intention is to Award this contract to Russ Bassett due to their approved systems already in place at Kadena, Air Base. Kadena Airfield Operation, Air Traffic Control Specialist, is requesting to modify the placement and housing for our STARS terminal control workstations(TCW). TCW workstations, weather displays, flight data displays and terminal voice switching systems will be mounted upon a custom workstation designed and installed by Russ Bassett Inc. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
This acquisition is to replace existing EOL/EOS equipment. This is a Firmed Fixed Price Purchase Order for supplies with installation which will include the brand name system to replace the structural housing for air traffic control radar displays. The Russ Bassett Vector radar consoles are designed specifically for radar approach control applications, utilizing a slatwall configuration that reduces operational floorspace, maintains an efficient control space, and allows uninhibited access to radar processing equipment. The Vector consoles are program of record for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Air Navigation Service Provider facilities, and have been installed at Edwards AFB, Seymour Johnson AFB, Maxwell AFB, Tyndall AFB, and Shaw AFB through Air Force Flight Standards Agency (AFFSA)
