Country: Papua New Guinea (Port Moresby, Southern Highlands, Hela and Enga Provinces) Description of the Assignment: UNDP and UNFPA Papua New Guinea are currently seeking to hire a consultant to conduct participatory research on 1) the impact of armed violence on women and girls and 2) the socialand gender norms feeding the prevalence of toxic masculinity in Hela, Southern Highlands and Enga Provinces of Papua New Guinea under the SALIENT project - Strengthening Arms Control and Armed Violence Prevention for People-Centred Citizen Security in PNG, in line with the Government's commitment tothe United Nations Programme of Action to Prevent, Combat and Eradicate the Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons in All Its Aspects. More information on the role can be found in the Terms of Reference attached to this tender. Period of assignment/services: 75 Days (until 30/11/2024) [Location: 11 days in Port Moresby, 8 days each in Southern Highlands, Hela, and Enga, and 45 days home-based/hybrid] Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline.Any request for clarification must be sent in writing via messaging functionality in the portal.
