This is a sources sought announcement only and not a request for quotes, bids, or proposals.This request is solely for the purpose of conducting market research to enhance the Departmentof Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 16 (NCO 16) understanding of the marketoffered products, services, and capabilities. Your responses to the sources sought will assist theGovernment in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside isPossible.SCOPE: The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide qualified Intraoperative Neurophysiologic Monitoring Services (IONM) and instrumentation at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, 2002 Holcombe Boulevard, Houston, Texas 77030 for a period of 12 months beginning on the date of contract award, with four (4) one-year options, if exercised.Neurophysiologic monitoring is the use of electrophysiological methods such as electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG), and evoked potentials to monitor the functional integrity of certain neural structures (e.g., nerves, spinal cord and parts of the brain) during surgery. The purpose of IONM is to reduce the risk to the patient of iatrogenic damage to the nervous system, and/or to provide functional guidance to the surgeon and anesthesiologist. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 621999, All Other Miscellaneous Ambulatory Heath Care Service with a size standard of $20.5 Million.
