Tenders are invited for IT Consultant (Software Implementation) Consultant.

The IT Consultant will be engaged in a project aimed at enhancing Dikken's internal processes and strengthening team capacity in outreach, communications, visibility, and sustainability.
Dikken is an experimental solidarity grocery shop founded in 2020 to combat price inflation and poverty. It implements a membership system that prices goods progressively based on the client/member-s socioeconomic situation, leading to cross-subsidization.
Dikken is considered one of the groups supported under the Mada Platform, which is a flexible space that provides diverse support to civil society and grassroots initiatives.
Within the project framework, the Consultant will work for a total of 10 days over a period of one month, starting in mid-July 2024. The Consultant will focus on implementing and developing Dikken-s software solution, collaborating with the software provider to apply improvements and new features, as well conducting capacity-building sessions for Dikken staff on system usage.
Main tasks and responsibilities
1-Software Development and Enhancement:
Assess the current software system at Dikken and identify areas for improvement.
Develop and communicate software updates and new features as needed.
Ensure that the software is user-friendly.
Coordinate with the provider to integrate new features and improvements.
Test and validate the updated software to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
Evaluate new solution providers and assess their compatibility with Dikken-s software needs.
2-Capacity Building
Design and deliver training sessions for Dikken staff on effectively using the existing software system.
Create comprehensive user guides and training materials.
Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for staff as they adapt to the new system.
Deliverables:
Document all changes made to the software system.
Prepare a final report summarizing the work completed, including a guideline for software use, detailing challenges faced, and offering recommendations for future improvements.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Management Information system or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in software management and solution implementation.
Proficiency in programming: Java, Python, or similar.
Experience with software development frameworks and tools.
Strong understanding of system integration, software testing, and troubleshooting.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Fluent in English and Arabic
