Description

General Capabilities:

This Sources Sought notice is issued by the Department of the Navy, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), on behalf of the Program Executive Office (PEO) Unmanned and Small Combatants (USC) Unmanned Maritime Systems Program Office (PMS 406).

The Joint Explanatory Statement (JES), released with the Fiscal Year 2023 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), included directive language for the Navy to conduct analysis and experimentation activities during Fiscal Year 2023 in support of unmanned operations. The objective of the analysis was to identify commercially available Large Diameter Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (LDUUVs) that the Navy could field as rapidly as possible and deploy at scale as early as Fiscal Year 2024. The Navy is interested in commercially available LDUUV solutions, as well as the cost drivers and the timeframe required to field and deploy those unmanned vehicles. The Navy anticipates that commercially available unmanned undersea vehicle solutions will require future Government-specific modifications to support Navy payloads.
