LEGAL DESCRIPTION: See Study Site Attachment REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The Division of Mining, Land, and Water (DMLW) has received a land use permit application from the University of Alaska for the placement of dataloggers on state lands near Toolik Field Station. The application proposes to access the sites via snowmachine in the winter and by helicopter in the summer. The dataloggers include subsurface thermistor chains in 3 m deep boreholes, meteorological stations, timelapse cameras, and acoustic recorders. A total of 52 sites are included in the application.
