The Sarnen parish hall is getting on in years and no longer meets the requirements regarding work processes, fire protection, sound transmission, freedom of obstacles and energy. Furthermore, the parish hall now offers too little space for all services. The summer of 2021, as a result of the construction of the Working Group on the Niggli & Realini Architects GmbH / Castor Huser Architects AG, a project is elaborated for the renovation and expansion of the Sarnen parish hall. The project planning also includes the construction of a multifunctional building and the new construction of the underground parking Cher Nord. The planning work has progressed so far that the construction project for all three sub -projects was completed by autumn / winter 2023. The costs for the construction loan were then determined in winter 2023. On February 4, 2024, the Sarner population approved the construction loan for both templates.
