Cape Breton Regional Library is requesting proposals from experienced vendors for the provision of 26 computers that offer enhanced accessibility features, including 25 public access computer terminals and one mobile workstation. These terminals will ensure equitable access for all library users, including those who require accessibility accommodations. The aim is to improve library resources and services for the public to ensure that all library users, including those with disabilities, can effectively perceive, navigate, and interact with equipment, services, and technology, in line with modern standards of inclusivity and digital accessibility. The objective of this tender is to select a qualified vendor who can provide: •Public access computer terminals specifically designed to meet the needs of users with varying accessibility needs. •Equipment and software to ensure full compliance with accessibility standards (e.g., CAN/ASC - EN 301 549:2024). •Ongoing support and maintenance services to ensure the terminals remain in good working condition. The selected vendor will be required to: •Supply Accessible Computer Terminals •Provide Software and Assistive Technologies •Comply with Accessibility Standards •Offer Service and Support
